Design Brief: A simple style was required but with an adventure vibe, therefore the Argentine cowboy ‘gaucho’ hat was evoked. Minimal in feel but with interesting surface detail to create a play of light on the metal. 

Pendant Technique: Fabricated from 1mm of brass sheet. A hollow form circle was created through soldering parts together, keeping the base plate wider to give the hat its brim. Textured with a deep brushed finish.
